Anna Degteva - Conversation Designer

Hi!

I am Anna - a Conversation Designer and chatbot builder with ten years of experience in creating and improving chatbots, voice assistants, and IVR systems. I'm passionate about using research and human-centered design methods to improve dialogue. 

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work on pioneering conversation projects - developing the first voice assistant for the Russian language, designing a smart toy that combined Voice UI with companion features, and writing scenarios and conversation flows for mobile games with dialogue mechanics. My focus is on making agent-fuelled communication as human-centered as possible, and ensuring conversations are captivating and natural. 

My educational background is in Computational Linguistics and Cultural Anthropology, which has made me professionally sensitive to the emotional and interactional aspects of communication. I also have experience working with challenging topics. 

Having worked in startup-minded environments, I've learned to quickly master new tools and find innovative solutions when ready-made options aren't available.
